Officially registered in 2005 the Bambino is a hybrid which crosses

a Munchkin cat with a Sphynx for a truly unique, adorable, and very friendly cat. 

   

   The results are usually a short legged and hairless cat with a kitten like personality.

 

   The name Bambino was given to them because they are like babies (bambino means baby in Italian).

 

   They are playful and lovable and never seem to grow out of this temperament.

   It should be noted that not all Bambinos that are bred fall into the standard.

   

   There are some Bambinos that end up with long legs and some that end up with fur (often called nonstandard Bambinos).
